Gopal's has been part of Soho since 1988. What started as one family's idea — to bring the real cooking of India to the heart of London — has grown into one of the neighbourhood's most reliable tables, run by the same family more than thirty years on. We've watched Soho change around us and stayed exactly what we've always been: a warm, unfussy room serving proper Indian food to locals, theatre-goers and visitors from around the world.
Cooked the way it should be
Our chefs cook with recipes passed down through generations, only the freshest ingredients, and the right combination of spices — nothing artificial, no shortcuts. It's a labour of love, and you can taste it: a flavour that stays with you long after the meal is over.
